Job Overview

We are seeking experienced interpreters to join our network as independent contractors (1099) for the following languages:

  • French <> English
  • Dutch <> English
  • German <> English
  • Czech <> English
  • Slovak <> English
  • Polish <> English
  • Russian <> English
  • Ukrainian <> English
  • Croatian <> English
  • Spanish <> English
  • Italian <> English
  • Portuguese <> English
  • Hebrew <> English

  • Amharic <> English
  • Yiddish <> English

Any multiple language pairs are highly encouraged to apply!

This position offers complete flexibility—you can log in and take calls whenever you're available, with no required minimum or maximum hours. Compensation is based on active interpretation minutes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional consecutive over-the-phone interpretation between the language pairs listed above.
  • Facilitate clear, accurate, and impartial communication across various industries.
  • Adhere to industry standards, confidentiality protocols, and ethical interpreting practices.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients and limited-English proficient (LEP) individuals.

Requirements

At least 6 months of professional OPI experience (required)
✅ Knowledge of OPI interpreting protocols and formal training (greetings, confidentiality, turn-taking)
✅ Strong English proficiency (clear pronunciation, grammar, and communication skills)
Reliable equipment:

  • Computer (Windows 10 or 11 preferred)
  • USB headset (Bluetooth headsets not allowed)
  • Stable internet connection
